This is the pencil test I created in four weeks that got me accepted into the Disney training program.

A side-by-side (top-to-bottom) comparison of the storyboards I drew for the Lightcycle sequence with the final CG-animated imagery. Because we had no way to preview CG, we had to visualize very accurately with our drawings.

The famous TRON lightcycle sequence. In 1982, in 70mm, this was something to see. In my book you can learn why the colors of the bikes are opposite of the colors of the bikers!

My TRON lightcyle animation seems to have become a cultural touchstone. First the Disneyland thrill rides, and now this sticky tribute.

I did BLOCK WOMAN at Digital productions in 1983, making it perhaps the very first hierarchical human model animated on a computer.

In 1985 I animated Mick Jagger's rock video HARD WOMAN using Digital Production's custom software. Too early for CG-skin, so we made the leading lady out of vectors: Vector Girl.

My Oscar-nominated short film TECHNOLOGICAL THREAT, the first film to combine computer-animated characters with hand-animated characters.

Perhaps our most famous title (a true evergreen!) we had to come up with Christmas gags that were not already included in the film. The solution: kill Santa!
